Dear Magical Diary: Post Six

  Dear Magical Diary,

Note: As part of my "Charm School" project with Cara Mia of Cutewitch772 this summer, I have decided to keep a daily and public magical diary.  In what we're calling the Charm School Syllabus (a list of suggested tasks for someone seeking a first degree initiation published in Silver RavenWolf's book To Stir a Magick Cauldron), one task is "Provide a magickal diary to your instructor that encompasses one full year of your magickal experiences." Now, this task doesn't explicitly state that this diary needs daily entries, but I have decided to write daily as best I can.

Yesterday was the first day that I missed writing in my magical diary, but I will update now so that I am all caught up.

Friday Friday's tarot card, the Five of Cups, reminded me to acknowledge and process any feelings of disappointment or loss. It's a gentle nudge to find the silver lining and focus on what remains rather than what's been lost. In context of the day, I think it related to some issues that came up during my Reiki session during my therapy time. After therapy, I took some books on the labyrinth to the pool and read and took notes in between dips.
That night, I watched the new live-action Little Mermaid movie with my husband and a couple new friends. While it lacked some of the whimsy of the original animated film, it was still a cute and enjoyable experience. The actors did a fantastic job, and I particularly loved the addition of the new song for Eric, "Wild, Uncharted Waters," which added depth to his character. After the movie, I headed home and called it an early night, missing out on the opportunity for full moon magic. Sometimes rest and self-care take precedence, and that's okay too. Saturday Yesterday was a day filled with vibrant energy and magical moments, coinciding with the full moon's enchanting presence. In the morning, I had the pleasure of birding at the park with a friend from the Unitarian Universalist community. We marveled at the beauty of 16 different bird species, and spotting an orchard oriole was undoubtedly the highlight. Birding may not be overtly magical, but for me, it's a practice that fosters mindfulness and deepens my connection with the local fauna and flora. Later in the day, Mike and I ventured downtown for a working lunch with a witchy friend. We engaged in lively discussions and preparations for our upcoming witchcamp in July. Afterward, we explored the library, soaked in the vibrant atmosphere of the Pride festival, and treated ourselves to delicious ice cream from Mitchell's in Heinan's. The day was filled with excitement and community. By the time we returned home, exhaustion had settled in, and I decided to honor my body's need for rest, forgoing any specific rituals for the full moon. Sometimes, honoring our own well-being is the most magical act of all. Sunday As the sun rises on this beautiful morning, I find solace in journaling and reflecting on the days ahead. A client awaits me at 11:30 AM, and I feel grateful for the opportunity to build my business, although weekend jobs are always hard because I will miss out on some of my Sunday routines. Tonight, under the radiant glow of the full moon, I am planning a special ritual. I will be performing the Rainbow spell, a potent practice of manifestation and healing that I recently shared on my blog. It's a spell that celebrates the vibrant colors of the rainbow and invites transformative energies into our lives.

Yours under the stars,

Stella
