Dear Magical Diary: Post Fifteen

   Dear Magical Diary,

Note: As part of my "Charm School" project with Cara Mia of Cutewitch772 this summer, I have decided to keep a daily and public magical diary.  In what we're calling the Charm School Syllabus (a list of suggested tasks for someone seeking a first degree initiation published in Silver RavenWolf's book To Stir a Magick Cauldron), one task is "Provide a magickal diary to your instructor that encompasses one full year of your magickal experiences." Now, this task doesn't explicitly state that this diary needs daily entries, but I have decided to write daily as best I can.

Yesterday's class on Squire's Castle was filled, but no spots opened up from the waiting list. The evening was meant for relaxation, yet tensions arose with Mike and my insomnia worsened. Today, I focused on podcast outlines and research in the morning. From 9 to 2, a client kept me occupied. After finishing a cozy mystery audiobook, I delved into podcasts for the rest of the day, particularly those related to life coaching.

Post-work, I grabbed Subway and headed to Headlands Beach State Park to draw two labyrinths in the sand—a larger one like Tuesday's and a smaller spiral. Returning home, I ordered pizza, watched sports, and listened to Robinson Crusoe while thoroughly cleaning the kitchen. I began reading a book from the 1700s section of 1001 Books to Read Before You Die—action-adventure is genre I'm not fond of, but it's decent so far. I read while cleaning for about half an hour. For my Charm School work, I plan to switch one circle casting and read a section of What Witches Do tonight.

There's much to anticipate—a class on Lake Erie shipwrecks, a summer solstice labyrinth walk at the UU church, a visit from my witchy friend, a gig by my friend's band, birding on Saturday, Father's Day with my father-in-law, an upcoming ritual in Pittsburgh, the arrival of my nephew, a trip to Niagara Falls with Mike, and the Spiralheart witchcamp. All of this alongside managing my two businesses. Life is brimming with possibilities.

Yours under the stars,

Stella
