Note: As part of my "Charm School" project with Cara Mia of Cutewitch772 this summer, I have decided to keep a daily and public magical diary. In what we're calling the Charm School Syllabus (a list of suggested tasks for someone seeking a first degree initiation published in Silver RavenWolf's book To Stir a Magick Cauldron), one task is "Provide a magickal diary to your instructor that encompasses one full year of your magickal experiences." Now, this task doesn't explicitly state that this diary needs daily entries, but I have decided to write daily as best I can.
Today, I engaged in pet-sitting duties for my mother-in-law. With two dogs, two cats, and an abundance of plants, the house was filled with vibrant life. In a delightful encounter, I had the opportunity to interact with the neighboring cattle. As a Taurus, the gentle bulls' affectionate gestures resonated deeply within me.
To further prepare for tomorrow's labyrinth class, I dedicated time to creating slides. While I won't be using them directly during the session, I decided to record a screencast of myself navigating through the slides. This recording will be shared on my Patreon platform and the private Discord channel for the group attending the in-person class and for those of the group who won't be able to make it.
Throughout the day, a sense of contentment enveloped me. Surrounded by animals and wide open spaces, I found solace in this tranquil environment. Although I may not be ready for a permanent small-town life just yet, I can't help but envision the allure of such a place in my retirement years.
As I reflect on the day's experiences, I am reminded of the deep connection between humans and the animal kingdom. Their presence brings a unique sense of peace and grounding, fostering a harmonious relationship with the natural world. I cherish these moments, knowing that they nourish my soul and contribute to my overall well-being.
In this journey of witchcraft and self-discovery, it's essential to find spaces that resonate with our spirits and align with our values. Today's serene setting and animal companionship served as a reminder of the beauty that lies within the balance of nature and our own inner landscapes.
As the day draws to a close, I carry the joy and tranquility of this experience with me. May the energy of the animals and the spaciousness of this place continue to inspire and nurture me on my magical path.
