Day 30: Describe a time when a spell went better than expected.
This post is part of a 31 Days of Secular Witchcraft series in which I answer questions about my own personal views about magic and witchcraft. I urge you to answer the same questions, found here, on your own blog.
I talked about this extensively in my article "Courage and Action: A Spell" in the first issue of Cross Quarterly. Essentially, I asked Inanna's blessing on my half marathon training program this July and offered my race and my preparatory runs up as an offering. I asked for "courage and action." A few months later, I am hyper involved in my local community and church, and I'm now a runner, a "cross stitcher", a zine editor, a blogger, an activist, and a slam poet.
Courage and action, indeed.
