Favorite tarot card (Day 7 of 30 Day Tarot Challenge)
Ree over at Wisps of Stardust on Tumblr created a 30 Day Tarot Challenge, to which I will be responding over the next month.
Day 7: What is your favorite card (both in terms of the deck’s artwork and divinatory meaning)?
Depends on the deck. In my Witches Tarot by Ellen Dugan and Mark Evans, I love pretty much the whole Major Arcana but especially Strength. The Moon and The High Priestess are great, too.
I associate Strength with one of my favorite goddesses, Inanna. The Strength card in the Witches Tarot is peaceful but powerful. I used it in the "courage and action" spell before my half marathon training that I wrote about in the first issue of Cross Quarterly.
